Personally identifiable information ("PII") is information about you that is personally identifiable, such as your full name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, or credit card number and that is not otherwise publicly available. Expressionary recognizes that we must maintain and use PII responsibly.  This policy covers how we treat PII and other information that we collect, store, and receive, including information related to your use of our products and services.  Please note this policy applies only to PII collected by Expressionary online and does not impact PII collected or obtained by Expressionary or its affiliates through other means. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Expressionary does not control.

I.          YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Expressionary values its customers and respects your privacy.  We collect PII to support our relationship with our customers, improve our product offering and to communicate about products, services, and promotions.

Here are the types of information we gather.

1.   Information You Explicitly Provide - (i.e. PII and Non-PII)

We may collect PII from you when you voluntarily submit the information to us when you purchase items from us. We need this information in order to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status, in order to register you as a user of this site or to provide you with services. We may also collect PII from you if you choose to subscribe to our email program, or participate in sweepstakes, contests, and surveys, or in connection with content or suggestions you post on this site.

We also collect non-personally identifiable information (“Non-PII” - for example, interests, hobbies, lifestyle choices, groups with whom you are affiliated) from you when you choose to provide or post non-PII information on this web site.

2.   Information We Automatically Collect - (i.e. Cookies and Pixel Tags)

Non-PII may also be collected from you by means of Cookies and Pixel Tags. Cookies are small bits of information that this web site places on your computer. We and our 3rd party service providers use cookies and Pixel Tags to identify your IP address, browser type, domain name, and specific web pages through which you click. This data is collected automatically and utilized to help us look for trends to improve our web site and your interactive experience. The cookies that are configured by this web site do not contain any PII.

II.        USING YOUR INFORMATION

Expressionary only uses your PII to conduct business with you, and your family and friends. 

Expressionary uses your PII and Non-PII to:

  • Process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status.
  • Provide you with information related to your account, and the products or services you purchased from us.
  • Better understand your needs and interests.
  • Improve our service and to personalize communications and your web experience;

  • Conduct our email or newsletter programs, or participate in sweepstakes, contests, and surveys, or in connection with content or suggestions you post on this site.
  • Use aggregate demographic and profile information about our audience in order to improve our service (including, but not limited to Expressionary's proprietary word recommendation engine), for research purposes, marketing/promotional purposes and/or for industry reporting purposes, among others.
  • Send selective emails with promotional offers around holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions, etc. to you, your family and/or friends.

Expressionary won't sell or distribute your PII to unaffiliated third party vendors. Expressionary may, however, from time to time, use your email or the email addresses of your friends and family to inform of promotional offers by Expressionary.

Our site gives you the opportunity to register with us, and sometimes registration is required before certain site features can be used. Our registration forms may request your PII and/or Non-PII.  You may be assigned a site username and/or password. For our internal purposes, we use this information to communicate with you and provide the services you have requested, and to provide a more personalized experience on our sites. For example, your registration may allow you to use and post to site message boards, create site profiles, etc. 

By visiting our site, you affirmatively consent to our collection and use of your data.  By visiting our site, and providing us with any PII or Non-PII you affirmatively consent to our collection and use of your data. We use this information to offer our users the choice whether to receive mailings from others that we think will be of interest.  Recipients of our mailings can unsubscribe by following instructions that may appear at the end of email communications. Note that in order to keep our registered users informed about the operation of our services, we may send emails and announcements that are needed for the proper functioning and administration of our sites and service.

III.       WHAT INFORMATION DO WE SHARE AND WITH WHOM?

We do not rent or sell your information to outside marketers.  We may share your information with members of the Expressionary, LLC family of businesses to provide you with products or services that you have requested or to provide you with promotional offers that we believe will be of interest to you. The Expressionary, LLC family of businesses includes all Expressionary, LLC affiliates, as well as other selected businesses with which Expressionary, LLC or its affiliates have a relationship, and which have agreed to adhere to our strict standards for providing quality products and services, responding to your needs, and protecting customer information.

In certain circumstances, we may share your information with service providers that need access to your information to provide operational or other support services. To ensure the confidentiality and security of your information, service providers must agree to safeguard your information in strict compliance with this policy.

Expressionary may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets in connection with a merger, reorganization or sale of assets, or in the event of bankruptcy. In such an event, personal information may be one of the assets transferred.

We maintain reasonable and appropriate physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information. When you enter PII, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (“SSL”). While we do work very hard to protect your privacy, no method of security is 100% effective and we cannot be responsible for the actions of those who may gain unauthorized access to your personal information. Expressionary makes no warranties, express, implied or otherwise as to the ultimate effectiveness of these reasonable and appropriate safeguards.

IV.       MERCHANT/E-COMMERCE AREAS

Our web site has a merchant/e-commerce area where users can order and purchase merchandise, including personalized Expressionaries.  Those areas are powered by a third-party e-commerce vendor that we have engaged; namely Fortune 3 shopping cart.  Personal information (excluding credit card or other financial information) collected by the vendor is shared with Expressionary, LLC and is subject to this Privacy Policy. 

V.        LINKS TO THIRD PARTY SITES AND THIRD PARTY SERVICES

Expressionary expects its partners, advertisers and third-party contractors to respect the privacy of our users. However, third parties, including our partners, advertisers, Affiliates and other content providers accessible through our site, may have their own privacy and data collection policies and practices. For example, during your visit to our site you may link to, or view as part of a frame on an Expressionary page, certain content that is actually created or hosted by a third party. Also, through Expressionary's web site, you may be introduced to, or be able to access, information, Web sites, advertisements, or features offered by other parties. Expressionary is not responsible for the actions or policies of such third parties. You should check the applicable privacy policies of those third parties when providing information on a feature or page operated by a third party.  While on our site, our advertisers, promotional partners, service providers, or other third parties may use cookies or other technology to attempt to identify some of your preferences or retrieve information about you.

Expressionary's web site includes a tool that allows you to sign in using information from your account with a third party service, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, OpenID, or LinkedIn.  Please be aware that those third party services are unrelated to Expressionary, and that your use of those third party services is subject to the terms and policies of those services.

Please further be aware that if you log in to Expressionary's website using information from your account with a third party service, Expressionary has the rights to store and use that information as well as any additional personal information (up to 50 pieces of data) which is used and stored in your account or profile with a third party service which is made available to Expressionary by such third party service through your signing into Exressionary through your account with such third party service.

VI.       PUBLIC DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Please be careful and responsible whenever you are online. Should you choose to voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information on our site, such as in message boards, chat areas or in advertising or notices you post, that information can be viewed publicly and can be collected and used by third parties without our knowledge and may result in unsolicited messages from other individuals or third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of Expressionary and this policy.

VII.     UNSUBSCRIBE FROM EMAILS

If you would no longer like to receive e-mailed special information, sales notifications or other promotional messages from this web site, you can unsubscribe from this site’s e-mail marketing list by following the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of each promotional e-mail. Your e-mail address will be removed from this site’s email marketing list within 10 days.
